Mandy PatinkinIn February 2026 I was asked if I was Mandy Patinkin. It was the most recent example of this comparison, which goes back to the mid-2010s. "When it came time to leave I used the washroom and on return there was a couple standing in the way of my jacket resting on the back of the chair. I signaled to them an 'excuse me' and they stepped aside and continued toward the door, and I followed. Outside they turned to the right and I to the left, and I heard a brief "hey" but then the fellow approached me with an 'excuse me' or the like, I turned to confront him, and he was like, "You're not Mandy Patinkin are you?" Even back in the Air Miles days the colleagues would say that I resembled him, but to have someone wondering if I was actually him was a bit offensive.
